Confession Time
I’ve messed up at weddings before. Maybe no one else noticed, but I did.
It was late in the night, about 9:45 p.m. I thought the reception went until 11. Then the planner came over and started talking about ending at 10. In my head I’m thinking, “Wait… what? I still have an hour of the couple’s must‑play songs to hit.”
We still ended on a banger and the crowd was loving it, but I knew it could have ended better. That last hour is a journey, and I missed it.
After that night, I decided that mistake was never going to happen again. We invested in an app our couples use to keep everything simple and clear—from the timeline to the music selections. I make sure that plan gets shared with the planner, photographer, and any other vendor who needs it so we’re all on the same page. My notes match their notes, and the night runs like clockwork.
